Yacht Photography for Brokerage Listings

A brokerage listing lives or dies on its first three images. Yacht photography is the highest-leverage marketing spend on any vessel for sale, and the one most often handed to whoever was available with a camera.

Interiors are the hard part

Yacht interiors defeat ordinary photography. Spaces are tight, ceilings are low, windows blow out to white while the joinery falls to black, and every high-gloss and mirrored surface returns a reflection of the photographer and the lights.

We shoot bracketed exposures and blend them so the view through the window and the grain of the cabinetry both survive into the final frame. That is what makes a saloon look like the space a buyer walked into, rather than a dim cabin with a white rectangle where the water should be.

What you receive

  • Full interior coverage — saloon, galley, helm, staterooms, heads, and crew quarters where applicable.
  • Exteriors shot at a time of day chosen for the vessel and her orientation in the slip.
  • Aerials included as standard.
  • Detail frames — joinery, electronics, engine room, and equipment that carry real weight with informed buyers.
  • Twilight exteriors where the berth and conditions allow.

Two file sets, delivered

Web-optimised files sized and compressed for the brokerage portals, and print-resolution files at 300 DPI for brochures, show boards, and publication. Supplying only one set means either slow-loading listings or unusable print assets, and both cost you.

Preparation determines the result

The single biggest factor in the final gallery is not the camera. It is whether the vessel was detailed and destaged before the shoot — personal effects stowed, fenders and lines squared away, cushions dressed, glass and stainless cleaned.

We send a prep checklist ahead of every booking. Vessels that arrive prepared photograph better and shoot faster, which keeps the cost down.

Frequently asked questions

What is your turnaround?

Edited stills within 48 hours. Rush delivery is available for show and brokerage deadlines.

How many images will I receive?

Unlimited. You receive the full edited gallery — enough for a complete listing plus the detail coverage informed buyers look for.

Do you shoot vessels on the hard?

Yes. Yard and haul-out photography is useful for documenting condition, hull work, and refit progress, and it often supports a sale more than glamour work alone.

Can you match an existing brand or dealer style?

Yes. Dealers and manufacturers usually need consistency across a model line, and we shoot and grade to an established look rather than to our own.

What if conditions are poor on the day?

Exteriors and aerials are rescheduled free of charge if we call the conditions. Interiors proceed regardless, since they are lit rather than dependent on daylight.

Do you cover charter marketing as well as sales?

Yes. Charter marketing needs more lifestyle and crew coverage and less technical detail, and it is a different shot list — worth flagging when you enquire.
